You can’t get much more British than a great big helping of fish and chips, especially if it’s Friday night. Back home, they’re a real institution, whether you bring them home for a family tea or eat them straight from the newspaper on a sunny day at the seaside.
In fact, the lovely, warm smell of fresh fish and chips has been drifting down the high streets of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland for almost 200 years. Irresistibly comforting and instantly satisfying, they even helped to get us through World War II, kept free from rationing to keep our spirits up and our bellies full.
At Parker’s, our proper fish and chips are made with tender, juicy cod and King Edward potatoes, fried and served up in our very own custom-made British chippy fryer. Then we’ll carefully freeze and ship them out to you the very same day - just warm them up in the oven and add loads of salt and vinegar with a dollop of ketchup, gravy, or our favourite mushy peas!
